Since 1984, ELiAR has been developing automation and control systems tailored for the textile industry — transforming not only production lines, but the very mindset of manufacturing. Launched a few years ago, the #SustainTheFuture campaign laid out a bold vision for the future of production, perfectly aligned with the requirements of the European Green Deal.
Today, sustainability is no longer a matter of choice — it is a legal obligation. The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and related environmental regulations coming into force by 2026 signal a deep transformation for textile manufacturers. ELiAR stands out among the technology providers shaping this transition.
Digitalization = Measurable Sustainability
Thanks to ELiAR’s automation systems and digital infrastructure, factories can now monitor energy and water consumption in real time, reduce chemical waste through precise dosing systems, and measure the production. All the required data for environmental reporting can be presented in a fully digital format. Environmental performance thus becomes not a hypothesis — but a data-driven reality.
ELiAR’s #SustainTheFuture campaign goes beyond treating sustainability as a passing trend. It calls for a traceable, environmentally conscious, data-driven production system to be built within textile facilities. These solutions — co-developed with textile manufacturers — address not only today’s demands, but those of the future.
As part of an upcoming initiative, ELiAR is preparing to make the sustainability contributions of its products more visible — by labeling each one with the #SustainTheFuture tag. This labeling system will clearly communicate each product’s specific contribution to sustainable production processes. It will serve as a practical reference point, helping manufacturers make better-informed decisions in their sustainability efforts.
The Clock Is Ticking
This transformation is not something to start in 2026 — it must be completed before then. The clock is ticking, and compliance is no longer optional.
Under the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, measurable, reportable, and traceable indicators such as energy use, chemical consumption, and water footprint will become mandatory. Manufacturers are now required to build digital systems and transparent data infrastructures to comply.
ELiAR continues to serve as a guiding technology partner throughout this process. Because sustainable production isn’t just about protecting nature — it’s about securing our collective future.
