Asahi Kasei FY19: sales of ¥2,152 bn; net income ¥106 bn

Asahi Kasei Corporation, a global Japanese chemical company, has reported 0.9 per cent decline in its net sales to ¥2,151.6 billion (Japanese Yen) in fiscal 2019 that ended on March 31, 2020. Net income fell from ¥149.8 billion in FY18 to ¥105.7 billion in the reported fiscal. Gross profit for the year were ¥675.0 billion (¥688.5 billion).

Company reported that it saw positive impacts from consolidation of newly acquired subsidiaries Sage Automotive Interiors (Material), Erickson Framing Operations (Homes), and Cardiac Science (Health Care).

Speciality Solutions sales dropped marginally to ¥316.6 billion (¥320.8 billion). Sales of Homes business rose to ¥649.3 billion (¥604.7 billion). Health Care business were ¥133.3 billion (¥135.5 billion).
