Asahi Kasei is set to display a new range of latest innovative and sustainable collection of fabrics made with Bemberg fibre and produced by prominent fabric manufacturers at leading fashion event, Pitti Uomo, from January 7-10, 2020, at Florence, Italy. Bemberg is a regenerated fibre made from cotton linter, a raw material that is pre-consumer waste.

Bemberg products are made from a cotton linter bio-utility material, a natural derived source, and a truly unique one in the smart fibre arena that doesn’t deplete forestry resources. The company by leading materials manufacturer Asahi Kasei is the sole maker of one-of-a-kind, matchless, high-tech natural fibres with a unique touch and feel as well as unique performances such as moisture control and is antistatic, the company said in a press release.

Furthermore, Bemberg will present a special project, a few pieces tailoring collection commissioned to and developed with students, designers of tomorrow, of a renowned Italian tailoring school, as well as with premium lining manufacturers using Bemberg inside their production.

Recognised as a leader in high quality linings, the academy, the oldest in Italy, has included Bemberg as part of the shared stories of a tailoring heritage, from materials, craftsman tailors, accessories and brands that exemplify the world of sartorial art and excellence.
