Benzene prices plunged in Asia on Wednesday (Sep 2) from lower feedstock prices, upstream energy prices, downstream product prices and sluggish demand in the region.

In Japan, prices were spotted at US$ 580/ton, down by US$ 45/ton or 7.20 per cent as against prices on Sept 1.
In India, prices were offered at US$ 585/ton, also lower by US$ 45/ton or 7.14 per cent vis-à-vis prices on Tuesday.
