Asian ethylene climbs last week from strong sentiments

Ethylene prices climbed up in Asia in the last week ended Oct 16 from strong market sentiments.

In Korea, average prices grew by US$ 20/ton or 2.25 per cent and were quoted at US$ 910/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices rose by US$ 25/ton and were assessed at US$ 905/ton in the last week, up 2.84 per cent as against its prior week.

In SE Asia, average prices ascended by US$ 15/ton and were spotted at US$ 900/ton in the last week, an increase of 1.69 per cent vis-à-vis its earlier week.

In NE Asia, average prices mounted by US$ 10/ton or 1.09 per cent from its previous week and were offered at US$ 930/ton in the last week.

In India, average prices expanded by US$ 15/ton and were witnessed at US$ 900/ton in the last week, up 1.69 per cent as compared to its prior week.
