Asian ethylene prices reduce last week

Ethylene prices plunged in Asia in the last week due to weak regional buying sentiments.

In Korea, average prices drifted sharply lower by US$ 35/ton and finalized at US$ 1205/ton in the last week as compared to the previous week, a decrement of 2.82 per cent.

In Japan, average prices slipped by US$ 35/ton and assessed at US$ 1200/ton in the last week, a fall of 2.83 per cent over the previous week.

In SE Asia, average prices shrunk by US$ 30/ton and settled at US$ 1190/ton in the last week, a drop of 2.46 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.

In NE Asia, average prices moved down by US$ 25/ton and secured at US$ 1250/ton in the last week, after a reduce of 1.96 per cent as compared to the previous week.
