Asian ethylene prices rise last week

Ethylene prices went up in Asia in the last week. The price rise was credited to improved demand from the region coupled with strength in global energy rates.
 
In Korea, average prices stepped up by US$ 35/ton and quoted at US$ 1205/ton in the last week, a gain of 2.99 per cent as compared to previous week.
 
In Japan, average prices inched higher by US$ 35/ton and assessed at US$ 1200/ton in the last week, a jump of 3 per cent compared to previous week.
 
In SE Asia, average prices improved by US$ 25/ton and quoted at US$ 1125/ton in the last week, an advancement of 2.27 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.
 
In NE Asia, average prices soared by US$ 40/ton and assessed at US$ 1270/ton in the last week, registering a lift of 3.25 per cent from the previous week.
