Asian ethylene prices show mix movement last week

Ethylene prices displayed mixed trend in Asia in the past week.

In Korea, Japan and NE Asia average prices hiked owing to sustained strong product demand in the region.
 
In Korea, average prices advanced by US$ 25/ton and recorded at US$ 1345/ton in the last week, showing an increment of 1.89 per cent over the previous week.
 
In Japan, average prices marched higher by US$ 25/ton and settled at US$ 1340/ton in the last week, registering a lift of 1.90 per cent as compared to the previous week.
 
In NE Asia, average prices edged up by US$ 5/ton and assessed at US$ 1395/ton in the last week, a gain of 0.36 per cent over the previous week.
 
In SE Asia, average prices maintained firm trend and secured at US$ 1275/ton in the last week as compared to the previous week due to subdued buying sentiments in the region.
