Asian ethylene soars last week from improved market

Ethylene prices soared in Asia in the last week ended March 18 from improved downstream market sentiments.

In Korea, average prices grew by US$ 60/ton or 5.41 per cent and were quoted at US$ 1170/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices rose by US$ 60/ton and were assessed at US$ 1165/ton in the last week, up 5.43 per cent as against its prior week.

In SE Asia, average prices ascended by US$ 50/ton and were spotted at US$ 1160/ton in the last week, an increase of 4.50 per cent vis-à-vis its earlier week.

In NE Asia, average prices climbed by US$ 60/ton or 5.31 per cent from its previous week and were offered at US$ 1190/ton in the last week.

In India, average prices increased by US$ 50/ton and were witnessed at US$ 1160/ton in the last week, up 4.50 per cent as compared to its prior week.
