Asian propylene drops last week from sluggish trends

Propylene prices dropped in Asia in the last week ended Jan 15 from sluggish buying trends in the region.

In Korea, average prices dipped by US$ 20/ton or 3.48 per cent and were assessed at US$ 555/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices declined by US$ 20/ton and were offered at US$ 550/ton in the last week, down 3.51 per cent as against its prior week.

In SE Asia, average prices descended by US$ 25/ton and were spotted at US$ 620/ton in the last week, a decrease of 3.88 per cent versus its earlier week.

In India, average prices decreased by US$ 25/ton or 3.88 per cent from its previous week and were offered at US$ 620/ton in the last week.

In China, average prices went down by US$ 25/ton and were witnessed at US$ 590/ton in the last week, down 4.07 per cent as compared to its previous week.
