Asian propylene prices soar past week

Propylene prices soared in Asia in the last week on the back of higher upstream energy values in the region.
 
In Korea, average prices went up by US$ 15/ton and secured at US$ 945/ton in the last week, after a hike of 1.61 per cent as compared to the previous week.
 
In Japan, average prices improved by US$ 10/ton and quoted at US$ 915/ton in the last week, an increment of 1.10 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.
 
In SE Asia, average prices advanced by US$ 5/ton and recorded at US$ 940/ton in the last week, as compared to previous week, a jump of 0.60 per cent.
 
In China, average prices marched higher by US$ 20/ton and assessed at US$ 1005/ton in the last week, a rise of 2.03 per cent compared to previous week.
