Asian propylene surges last week from improved sentiments

Propylene prices surged in the last week ended Oct 23 from improved downstream market sentiments in the region.

In Korea, average prices rose by US$ 30/ton or 5.61 per cent and were assessed at US$ 565/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices grew by US$ 45/ton and were spotted at US$ 545/ton in the last week, up 9.00 per cent as against its prior week.

In SE Asia, average prices climbed by US$ 25/ton and were offered at US$ 520/ton in the last week, an increase of 5.05 percent vis-à-vis its earlier week.

In India, average prices expanded by US$ 25/ton or 5.05 per cent from its previous week and were quoted at US$ 520/ton in the last week.

In China, average prices mounted by US$ 25/ton and were assessed at US$ 605/ton in the last week, up 4.31 per cent as compared to its prior week.
