Speaking at the Swissmem press conference, Imhof had described the sector as “alive and growing”, citing a robust 7 per cent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) expected over the next decade.
“I’ve spoken with customers from all over the world – people who shape our industry with vision and passion. And one thing is clear: they are not just looking for machines. They are looking for solutions – for technology that makes them more efficient, sustainable, and competitive,” Imhof said, outlining Autefa’s mission: “Our Technology for Your Success.”
Imhof highlighted how Autefa merges European engineering excellence with Chinese manufacturing agility, calling it “the best of both worlds.” He emphasised the role of the Nonwovens Competence Center in Linz, where the company tests and refines new processes, and its collaboration with partners in the CHTC Group, including ZFJ Textile Machinery, to enhance cost efficiency and delivery speed.
A key attraction at Autefa’s booth, Hall 2, Stand D201, is the StylusONE Needle Loom from its LineONE Series. “It’s built on the proven Autefa Fehrer technology – re-engineered for today’s market, delivering a perfect balance between performance and investment,” said Imhof. Already in successful operation at Heading Filter in China and several installations across India, the StylusONE has received strong customer feedback for its “high productivity, low maintenance, and great reliability”.
Beyond new machines, Autefa is expanding its role in retrofitting and upgrading existing lines to improve efficiency and extend machine life. “This is sustainability in action – practical, measurable, effective,” Imhof stressed. Looking ahead, he revealed that Autefa is working on recycling solutions for textile waste, including tearing and grinding machines, to help close the textile fibre loop.
“The textile industry stands at a turning point – between tradition and transformation. That’s exactly where Autefa feels at home. We bring together experience and innovation, European quality and global strength. Our mission remains clear: We create technology that makes success possible – Your Success,” Imhof concluded.
