It is time to invest in Bangladesh as the government is ensuring all sorts of facilities for investors and about 45 per cent of the country’s 17 crore people have decent purchasing power, according to commerce minister Tipu Munshi, who recently told a meeting that the country has a lot of skilled manpower with all kinds of investment opportunities.

He was addressing a day-long session on ‘foreign direct investment for logistic sector’ organized by the Nordic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) in association with the embassies of Denmark, Norway and Sweden and the head of delegation of the European Union (EU).

"It is possible to produce goods at low cost in Bangladesh and the goods could be exported easily to other countries," he was quoted as saying by Bangladeshi media reports.

The government has adopted a timely National Logistics Policy to increase trade and is working for the sustainable development of industrial factories, communication systems and trade facilities, he added.
