Bangladesh commerce minister Tipu Munshi recently sought more Chinese investment, especially in the special economic zones and in agro-based industries in the northern region. He made the request while the newly appointed Chinese ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen met him at his office. Efforts would be made to simplify further the investment procedure, he assured.China is supporting Bangladesh a lot in development projects, especially the mega ones, said a ministry press release.
He also suggested Chinese investors to visit the northern part of Bangladesh, according to Bangladeshi media reports.
