Bangladesh’s Jute Diversification Promotion Centre (JDPC) and the European Union’s (EU) Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation on producing and marketing jute products for European markets. The MoU will remain effective for the next five years.

JPDC executive director Mohammad Mahmud Hossain and Dutch ambassador to Bangladesh Anne van Leeuwen signed the MoU in Dhaka, according to a news agency.

Entrepreneurs producing home textiles and home decoration can produce and market new design products to European markets based on market demand as per the MoU.
