Benzene prices went down in Europe and US in the last week ended August 29 due to sluggish demand and lower downstream product prices in the region.

In US, average prices contracted by 20 cents/gallon and were assessed at 200 cents/gallon in the last week, down 9.09 per cent as against its prior week.
