Prime Minister Hun Sen recently said Cambodia’s exports in the first two months of this year rose by 30 per cent. The country’s exports to South Korea during the period rose by 33 per cent, he said, encouraging all stakeholders to boost trade and other economic activities to fuel the economic growth after the country’s post-pandemic reopening in all sectors.

Cambodia’s major markets are the European Union, the United States, Japan, China, Korea, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, New Zealand and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

The main exported items included garments, footwear, travel goods, bicycles, rice, machinery and electrical equipment, and vegetables and fruits, according to a domestic media report.

Cambodia imported mostly raw materials, construction materials, automobiles, pharmaceutical products, electronics and electrical equipment, fertilizers and pesticides.
