As a signatory to the Climate Change Charter, Carrington is at the forefront developing new and more acceptable solutions in the form of fabrics that are produced and processed more responsibly and ethically. Over the recent years, the largest producer of workwear fabrics in the UK has invested significantly in new research and manufacturing facilities.

"We’ve installed one of the largest heat recovery systems of its type in the world, reducing our annual CO2 emissions by over 4,000 tonnes. Our commitment is also clearly demonstrated in the fabrics we now offer, with new additions that are more eco-friendly in the way they are produced and finished," Carrington said in a press release.

The company will now present its latest sustainable fabrics at Techtextil in Frankfurt from May 14. At the bi-annual event, the textile world gathers to see the trends that are shaping the future. With its varied supporting programme, Techtextil will offer technical inspiration and an overview of the latest developments in the industry. (RR)
