Else a protest movement may start paralysing port activities, Chattogram Port Users Forum president Amir Humayun Mahmud Chowdhury was quoted as saying by domestic media outlets at a protest meeting at the port city.

Though port officials say the new tariff is 41 per cent higher on an average, businesses claim the rates of several charges increased by far more.
