In June 2023, China's logistics industry showed growth, with the sector's performance indicator rising to 51.7 per cent, as per data from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing.
Sub-indexes revealed positive growth with a notable surge of 51.2 per cent in the employment sector.
Business expectations remained steady at 55 per cent.

Chinese logistics industry witnessed an expansion in June 2023, with the index that monitors the performance of the logistics market in the country rising by 0.2 percentage points from May 2023, according to the data from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. The index stood at 51.7 per cent in June. This signalled an improvement in market demand and better business conditions.

The Federation also provided insights into several sub-indexes, most of which have reported positive growth in June. The business expectations sub-index remained firmly at 55 per cent, suggesting a sense of stability and assurance in the logistics market's future.

Moreover, there was a significant boost in the employment sub-index, which climbed 2.3 percentage points, reaching 51.2 per cent.

In terms of new orders, the sub-index recorded a 0.7 percentage point increase from May, standing at 50.4 per cent in June, indicating a uptick in demand.
