As governments, business and community efforts ramp-up to mitigate spread of COVID-19, Cotton Australia is taking active steps to ensure risk of this disease affecting its team is mitigated. After consulting public health advice, its board has decided that wherever possible, Cotton Australia staff will work from home from March 18 until April 1 inclusive.

This move is in line with professional advice for social distancing to be carried out and for non-essential travel to be reduced. Cotton Australia’s team will still be accessible through phone and email, and its operations will carry on as effectively and comprehensively as is possible during this unprecedented period. On April 1, 2020, the Cotton Australia board will be meeting and will reassess the situation and take further appropriate steps as required.

The group meetings during this period will either be rescheduled or will be conducted via video conference.

The company has assured to take every step necessary to keep its people safe, support its growers and safeguard the future of the industry.
