The European Central Bank (ECB) and Hrvatska narodna banka have agreed to monitor developments in the Croatian kuna against the euro on the foreign exchange market until 1 January 2023, ECB said in a media release.
With the entry into force of the close cooperation framework between the ECB and Hrvatska narodna banka on October 1, 2020, the ECB became responsible for directly supervising eight significant institutions and overseeing 15 less significant institutions in Croatia.
The euro area consists of those Member States of the European Union that have adopted the euro as their currency. The current members include Belgium, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia and Finland.
