The demand for highly efficient and energy-saving machines is rising at present, according to the director of Agansa Primatama, an Indonesian company of textile machinery, accessories and spare parts offering solutions in technical and non-technical services. The increase in supply of latest machinery reduces energy consumption and improves productivity.

Latest innovations are being adopted for spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing and finishing machineries. “Suppliers have started adopting Industry 4.0 for better control of machine operations. Further, there is more focus on green technology for a sustainable future,” said Andreas Pangestu, director, Agansa Primatama, while speaking to Fibre2Fashion.

The director also said that the company will now be entering the nonwoven segment.

Talking about the non-technical solutions offered for the textile business, Pangestu said, “We believe that after-sales service is the key to success for a continuous business with our partners - customers as well as suppliers. Therefore, we have a full fleet of service engineers trained and certified by our suppliers to provide first class service in Indonesia.”

The textile manufacturers of Indonesia are investing in machines that have lower energy consumption and having lower carbon and water footprint. The government is also coming up with provisions for a sustainable textile industry, he added. (KD)
