How EcoVadis’ certification indicator works
Certificates are an important element utilised during the assessment process of a rated company. They are categorised as part of a company’s actions, which includes other topics such as third-party audits, internal procedures, and employee trainings.
Certifications account for 35 per cent of the 40 per cent weight of actions within the EcoVadis assessment scoring methodology. To be considered valid, they must include standardised and clear measurement criteria, be conducted by a credible third-party auditor, and be verifiable with external methods.
