Egyptian supply and internal trade minister Ali El-Moselhy recently said his ministry's wants to increasingly facilitate Italian companies to enter his country as inflation is currently at minus 5 per cent and there is political willingness to support foreign investment. He was speaking at the Italian Egyptian Economic Forum (Investment in Trade) in Cairo.

Organised by the Italian Confederation for Economic Development (CISE), next year's edition of the conference will be held in Naples, dedicated to developing trade relations between the two countries, according to Egyptian media reports.

The Egyptian private sector appreciates Italian manufacturing, machinery, the textile sector and the entire Italian 'know-how', said Italian Ambassador to Egypt Giampaolo Cantini.

The first concrete results are already being seen, according to CISE President Giuseppe Romano, who said the Italian special economic zones are signing agreements and are in synergy with the Franco-Egyptian zones.
