The euro area’s annual inflation rate stood at 2.1 per cent in November 2025, matching the previous month and slightly below the 2.2 per cent recorded a year earlier, according to Eurostat.
Across the European Union, inflation slowed to 2.4 per cent from 2.5 per cent in October as well as in November 2024.
Among Member States, the lowest annual inflation rates were recorded in Cyprus at 0.1 per cent, France at 0.8 per cent and Italy at 1.1 per cent. Romania posted the highest rate at 8.6 per cent, followed by Estonia at 4.7 per cent and Croatia at 4.3 per cent, Eurostat said in a release.
Compared with October 2025, inflation declined in twelve member states, remained unchanged in five and increased in ten.
