Euro area sees modest Q2 GDP growth; EU remains steady

Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, seasonally adjusted GDP increased by *.* per cent in the euro area and by *.* per cent in the EU in the second quarter of ****, after increases of *.* per cent in both zones in the previous quarter, Eurostat, the statistical office of the EU, said in a press release.

During Q* ****, GDP in the US increased by *.* per cent compared to the previous quarter—after *.* per cent in the first quarter of ****. Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, GDP increased by *.* per cent—after *.* per cent in the previous quarter.
