Functional Fabric Fair New York organised by Reed Exhibitions in partnership with Performance Days, US’s only trade-exclusive sourcing event dedicated to functional textiles, has released its list of exhibitors, conference schedule and focus topic for the summer event to be held from July 22-23, 2019, at the Javits Center in New York City.
Doubling in size from the 2018 launch, this year’s sold out exhibit hall will showcase more than 120 hand-selected textile manufacturers, suppliers and service providers presenting their functional fabrics, branded technologies, treatments, laminates, paddings, finishes, and accessories such as yarns, tapes, prints, buttons and zippers. The fair’s Performance Forum, a lighted exhibition wall at the show floor entrance, will feature the top 100 textile and accessory innovations for spring/summer 2021, as selected by an independent expert jury, said Functional Fabric Fair in a media statement .
Created in partnership with internationally recognised textile research conglomerate, Hohenstein, the event’s education conference will feature expert-led education sessions on functional technologies, brand development, colour trends and more. The conference ‘Focus Topic’, Water – Our Responsibility, will be weaved into the programme, aligned with the organiser’s dedication to producing a zero-waste exhibition.
“We place a high priority on studying trends and offering relevant, forward-thinking suppliers so that we can bring the best of the best to the show floor and offer expert speakers who are on-trend for tomorrow’s products,” said Steve McCullough, Functional Fabric Fair’s event director.
In addition to the New York event, Functional Fabric Fair Portland is launching, Oct. 22-23, 2019, as a curated sourcing platform dedicated to outdoor and active functional textiles and accessories for the winter 2021 season. (PC)
