Sleep myths, corona fatigue and sustainable hotel room concepts of tomorrow: coinciding with the German Day of Sleep, the Heimtextil Conference ‘Sleep & More’ will begin from June 21, 2022. The four-day international fair will provide bed dealers, retailers and hospitality decision-makers with answers to the megatrend ‘healthy sleep’ in Hall 3.0.

In addition to the latest findings in sleep research, numerous keynotes will also highlight important issues concerning the green future of the hotel bed. From sleep myths and scientific facts on post-corona sleep to tracking technology, this summer renowned sleep and hotel industry experts will be providing decisive impetus at the Heimtextil Conference ‘Sleep & More’ in Hall 3.0.

Markus Kamps, sleep consultant and founder of ‘Schlafkampagne’, will open the conference on June 21 with a presentation on sleep myths, and on the following day provides important guidance on how to get back to a rested sleep during and after the pandemic. Dr Hans-Günther Wees of the German Society for Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine will share the latest research findings - considering the pandemic's influence on global sleep habits. The Sleep & More speaker setup also includes Carsten Schmid of Brainlit with insights into the importance of biocentric lighting during the day and evening. And Jens Speil from MyCircul will present the latest approaches in the use of tracking gadgets and the importance of regularity in sleep and apnea screenings, fair organiser said in a press release.

On the second day of the fair, visitors can look forward to a panel highlight: sleep consultant Eva Bovet from Betten Raab, managing director Thaela Schlosser from Feder & Bettenfachgeschäft and Markus Kamps will discuss how both bed specialists and retailers can tap into new target groups through the successful use of podcasts and win customers via auditory content formats. These and other keynotes will make the Heimtextil Conference ‘Sleep & More’ the place to go for representatives of the bedding trade, who can expect a top-class programme of lectures, discussion rounds and product presentations.

In addition to consulting and product offerings for the bedding trade, the new concept format ‘Sleep & More’ will also provide valuable orientation for hotel industry decision-makers and sheds light on hospitality trends, particularly from the perspective of sustainability: How can mattresses be part of the circular economy? And what will the sustainable hotel room of the future look like? Hospitality and sustainability experts will pool the collective knowledge of the industry and provide visitors with inspiration and impetus for their future actions.

A complete overview of these and numerous other speakers can be found on the Heimtextil website under 'Themes & Events' from April 2022.
