Imprima S.p.a., the first global holding company dedicated to textile printing and finishing sector from Italy, has announced that Chiaretto Calo, the CEO of the company led a discussion at the Amsterdam Innovation Forum, on June 14, 2017, covering topics like sustainable apparel, cotton, ethical trade and circular economy.

The forum was titled “How apparel brands can transform supply chains”. Calo led a discussion on the topic “Looking to the future: How digitalisation is going to impact your operations.”

The session explored what the digital revolution means for business, and how innovations in manufacturing are the new reality that help create sustainable products that last and can be scaled to suit each actor through smart customisation.

Imprima S.p.a. is the global holding company dedicated to research, development, and innovation in the textile printing and finishing arena. It boasts a total water management guarantee through its own chemical/physical process of water depuration technologies able to reduce the consumption of water up to 90 per cent, avoiding effluents, by circulating it in a virtuous recycling process, for example now needing only 1 litre of water compared to traditionally 12 litres needed in the past.

All Imprima innovations are easily scalable and sustainable, reducing resource consumption and pollution and anticipating the potential requests and limits yet to come from governments and institutions making Imprima a pioneer of the new digitalised sustainable business model. (GK)
