The company’s zero pollution denim collection integrates an efficient combination of technologies like laser, dry and wet ozone G2 and e-Flow nano bubbles, which reduces water and chemical consumption by 90 per cent and energy consumption by 50 per cent.
Its latest technology – Light PP Spray eliminates the spraying of any harmful chemicals like potassium permanganate during the denim production process.
With this project, Jeanologia wants to contribute to the textile industry of Bangladesh, which has about 44,000 textile mills and is the second largest textile exporter in the world, after China.
Commenting on the displayed technologies, Jordi Juani, division director of Jeanologia said, “The use of this technology represents a change in production, as it allows for improved production levels, minimises resources and ensures zero pollution – both for workers and the environment.”
“The consumer not only buys a product, but also pays for a method to produce it. Therefore, sustainability is an added value to be taken into account by the makers of denim,” he added.
Jordi Juani also conducted a seminar ‘Bangladesh Horizon 2021: a Technological View’ during the course of the Expo, which discussed low cost production without sacrificing labour conditions, environmental impact or price of the product. The participants of the seminar included companies like Giant Apparels, H&M, Pacific Jeans and Evergreen Sweaters.
