The company has already released its first consignment to saree dealers or retailers. A pan India distributor or sole selling distributor, Thavari Mafatlal & Company at Surat is conceptualised.
The initial response to the new range has remained encouraging owing to the sarees' quality, designs, prints and packaging at affordable prices.
Additionally, the company will also organise retailer and consumer promotion, with in-shop branding at retail points of sale, MBO's and also outdoor advertising.
Commenting on the launch, MB Raghunath, President (Marketing & Sales) of Mafatlal Industries stated that the company's overall sales volume is over 100 million metres per annum.
This new roll out is an extension of the womenswear fabric segment, which will offer more products over a period of few months, with the introduction of leggings and lingerie, he further informed. (MCJ)
