Due to government restrictions caused by the Corona virus the organisers of Neonyt, an international fair for sustainable fashion, have decided to cancel the event which was originally scheduled from June 30 to July 2, 2020. However, organisers still hope that the situation will ease and that Neonyt could take place at a later date (late summer).

“In conjunction with the still challenging global situation regarding Covid-19, the federal government and the states have decided to prohibit all major events up to and including the end of August 2020. Due to this, the summer edition of our Neonyt cannot take place in its current form, Neonyt organisers, said in a press release.

Nevertheless, this is not an easy step for us, especially since we know how intensive the event participation is and how important an event like the Neonyt is for the business success of all involved. At this point, we, the management of Messe Frankfurt, would like to take the opportunity to thank our community: for their understanding, their support and their continued positive attitude.”

The organisers have also suggested their considerations about a virtual format. The organisers in the statement said that the non-binding exhibitor registration for Neonyt is still possible, provided that the health and economic situation of exhibitors, partners and visitors is at the forefront of all planned steps. The aim of the organisers is to offer the industry a secure and future-oriented environment after the crisis as a valuable source of impetus for the economy. Neonyt is therefore striving to create a presentation platform in the second half of the year - in whatever form and at whatever time.
