Net income of Dutch firm LyondellBasell at $0.7 bn in Q3 FY23

Dutch multinational chemical company LyondellBasell has reported a net income of $0.7 billion, which increases to $0.8 billion when excluding identified items, for the third quarter of fiscal 2023 (Q3 FY23). Diluted earnings per share stood at $2.29, rising to $2.46 per share when identified items are excluded.

EBITDA for the quarter was reported at $1.4 billion. Notably, the company achieved a record in its intermediates and derivatives quarterly EBITDA, LyondellBasell said in a press release.

In addition to its financial performance, LyondellBasell made significant strides in its sustainability initiatives. The company reported that it has achieved 78 per cent of its target to procure at least half of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030.
