In an exciting mix in the categories denim, craft, heritage, sport, outdoor and current, the fair represented combination of tradition and zeitgeist, promoting the crossover concept as a social trend. Also visitors witnessed the strongest selection of European premium-quality denim brands in Berlin, all of which attach great importance to quality when it comes to production, materials, craftmanship, ecological and social standards and can only be found in such a high density in the German capital.
“Over the first two days we received extremely positive feedback, not only from our exhibitors but also our international visitors. The Zeitgeist theme with new looks and brands and the highly curated Marketplace are being especially well received. That is showing us that we’re on the right path and Selvedge Run will continue to expand in this direction in the future,” said Shane Brandenburg, product manager of Selvedge Run. “On the first two days, for example, we welcomed buyers from Tagen VMC Original, bubeundkönig, Manufactum, Code7, Statement from Munich and Brund from Copenhagen.”
“We’ve had the best ordering day in five years here at Selvedge Run & Zeitgeist,” said Stetson CEO Klaus Kirschner.
“It’s great to be here. You get to meet a lot of interesting people, including new customers. We really appreciate the opportunity to present our collection in a different setting. We’re standing out somewhat with our brightly coloured collection, which is quite different to other vintage collections. Established in 1969, we also have a great history spanning 50 years of tradition that we want to share with the visitors. I think we’re going to have a very successful few days here,” said KnowledgeCotton Apparel country manager DACH, Aki Tuncer.
The Marketplace of Selvedge Run presented a curated Concept Store offering brands that can both be ordered as well as bought directly.
