RSWM to manufacture ladies trousers for Marks & Spencer

Garment making unit of Rajasthan Spinning & Weaving Mills Ltd (RSWM) located in Bangalore is to manufacture ladies trousers for retail store, Marks & Spencer, announced a senior official of RSWM.

With estimated investment of Rs 40 crore, the new unit is likely to begin operations from July 2006. The proposed production target of this unit would be 12,000 trousers per day, added the official.

RSWM is keen to strengthen fabrics and garments business, which has been identified as high growth area.

Stepping up of production capacities and expansion of its product line to shirting are also on the business agenda of the company.

A new collection 'GLAZANO' has also been announced by the company. 'GLAZANO' is a collection of formal and casual wear under three ranges - Designs, Twills and Plains.
