TÜV SÜD PSB labs receive CPSC certification

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) now recognizes test results from TÜV SÜD PSB labs in Singapore and Vietnam for selected children products. Any children manufacturer in the region which needs to comply with US CPSC regulations can approach TÜV SÜD PSB for 3rd-party testing to support its certification of compliance.

Under the scheme, manufacturers can approach TÜV SÜD PSB Singapore labs to test lead under the 16 CFR Part 1303 standards, small mouthable parts under the 16 CFR Part 1501 standards and pacifiers under the 16 CFR Part 1511 standards. In Vietnam, test results conducted by TÜV SÜD PSB Vietnam labs for children metal jewellery under CPSC-CH-E1001-08 and/or CPSC-CH-E1001-08.1 standards, lead in children's metal and non-metal products under CPSC-CH-E1001-08, CPSC-CH-E1001-08.1, CPSC-CH-E1002-08 and CPSC-CH-E1002-08.1 standards and flammability for children clothes and textiles under16 CFR Part 1610 standards will be accepted by US CPSC. TÜV SÜD PSB Vietnam lab is also accredited under ISO/IEC 17025 standard to perform tests on footwear and textile products for exports to the US and EU markets.
