Kelheim Fibres is one of the leading producers of viscose and acrylic speciality fibre announces Kelheim Fibres GmbH (Viscose) and Dolan GmbH (Acrylic) have to increase their prices for all products.
On average the prices for their viscose products will increase by 12 Eurocents/kg and prices will increase by more than 20 Eurocents/kg for their arylic products. However, the increase of raw material prices and operating costs is still higher and a further increase in prices in 2006 will be unavoidable.
Robert Gregan, CEO, comments: "The increased costs for energy and the situtation on the raw material market leave us no choice. Company knows that customers are struggling to increase their prices. Nevertheless have to pass on part of the increase in costs - otherwise operating profit will not allow us to make necessary investments. As a innovative fibre producer have to invest into new products and equipment."
