Textile machines maker Saurer Management AG announced that the company has acquired Fincarde Group.
Through various acquisitions and own developments, Saurer has developed into a total solution provider for spunbond and airlaid nonwoven plants. With the acquisition of Fincarde, Saurer can now offer complete lines for carded nonwovens from one source.
Saurer has acquired 100 percent of the capital of Fincarde Group as at end of December 2005.
Fincarde offers, apart from the entire fiber preparation process, carding equipment for woollen and worsted processes and carded nonwovens.
Furthermore, Saurer has increased its stake in Autefa automation GmbH from 51 percent to 60 percent. Autefa is one of the worldwide leading manufacturers of packing systems and automation solutions for fiber production and processing and is considered as technologically leading on the web forming sector.
Biella, Italy based Fincarde will be integrated in the nonwovens technology platform of the Saurer business unit Neumag. The workshop is equipped with modern tooling machines which allow the high precision that F.O.R. considers indispensable for modern textile equipment.
