Sources said local builders may be roped in for construction of the malls, which would house its hypermarkets and supermarkets, formats of which were being worked out. While the large outlets will have up to 1 lakh square feet of floor space, the smaller ones would be up to 50,000 sq ft.
The third largest mall is being planned on the fast-developing SG Road.
