Sumitomo Chemical based in Chiba - Japan, operates a cracker plant, recently underwent a turnaround in September 2011 and is currently running at full capacity rates.
A company official added that the plant has no plans for maintenance in 2012.
The cracker plant has ethylene and propylene production capacities of 416,000 tons per year and 288,000 tons per year, respectively.
