The state-run National Textile Corporation (NTC) had challenged the Bombay High Court order in the Supreme Court.
The order states the sale of five NTC mills in Mumbai was against BIFR scheme and the Supreme Court's previous order.
NTC petition has been taken up for hearing by the Apex court since yesterday.
On December 14, the buyers of five mills were permitted by the Supreme Court, to approach the Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation, to get the development plans approved under the guidelines of 2003.
These buyers were allowed to go ahead and seek clearances for their development projects, subject to environmental sanction.
Processing of application will be according to the 2001 Development Control Regulation 58, which governs the development of lands of closed mills.
The buyers were allowed to continue the demolition by the apex court, but construction was however, forbidden.
