Asahi Kasei which operates an ethylene and propylene cracker has scheduled a turnaround of the cracker in March 2012.
The steam cracker located in Mizushima, will be shut down from March to mid-April for a planned maintenance, an Asahi official told fibre2fashion.
The cracker has an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of ethylene and 470,000 tons of propylene.
The latest quotes for propylene from Asahi Kasei stood at US $1300-1335 / ton.
