Sumitomo Chemical which operates a Caprolactam (CPL) plant plans to undertake a maintenance turnaround of the plant in October 2012.
The plant located in Ehime Prefecture has two lines. Line no-1 has a capacity of 95,000 tons per annum and line no-2 has a capacity of 85,000 tons per year.
“Both the lines will undergo a turnaround somewhere in October-November 2012. However, a date has not been fixed yet”, a Sumitomo official told fibre2fashion.
The company executes an annual maintenance shutdown, but the duration and timing of the turnaround is slightly different every year.
