DyStar decides to close down Cilegon plant in Indonesia

The Shareholders and Board of Directors of the DyStar Group made an internal announcement on 14 February, informing its staff of the decision to close down the Cilegon plant which is currently located at Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon, Jl. Australia I Kav. F1, Cilegon 42443, Indonesia.
The difficult decision to close down the plant in Cilegon was a result of months of evaluation. The plant will cease production at the end of March 2012.
The Cilegon plant currently produces reactive dyes and supplies to both the domestic and export markets. The company will transfer production of the affected products to other plants in Asia and will ensure that there will be no disruption to the supply chain for its customers.
With the closure of the Cilegon plant, affected employees will be compensated fairly, DyStar will follow all the regulations and procedures that are required by Indonesian law.
