Chinese group is to invest in setting up a world-class refinery, go for capacity expansion and also reconstruct an ethylene plant.
The project includes a 10 million metric ton per annum refinery and re-set up of a 1.2 million metric ton per annum ethylene plant of PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical Company in Dushanzi City of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Adopting the US UOP technology for its refinery plant, PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical Company has already signed a contract last year in this regard.
PetroChina has the capacities to manufacture 1 million metric ton per annum of ethylene and 500 kilo tons per annum of propylene.
This plant is expected to be operational by the second half of 2008.
