A naphtha cracker operated by Mitsui Chemicals which was shutdown on August 21, will resume operations tomorrow.

Fibre2fashion had earlier reported that Mitsui had shut down its naphtha cracker located in Chiba prefecture on Tuesday last week, due to an electrical problem.

Today, a Mitsui spokesperson informed fibre2fashion that the naphtha cracker will resume production from August 28.

The cracker has an ethylene production capacity of 553,000 tons per annum.
