Sinopec increases its ex-factory benzene price

The ex-factory price of benzene has been increased by 200 Yuan/ton by the north branch of Sinopec on September 13, and the new ex-factory price is 9,400 Yuan/ton at Qilu Petrochemical, Tianjin Petrochemical, Qingdao Refinery and Shijiazhuang Refinery.
 
The south branch of Sinopec has hiked its ex-factory benzene price by 300 Yuan/ton to 9,500 Yuan/ton at Zhanjiang Refinery, Guangzhou Petrochemical and Hainan Petrochemical.
 
Similarly, the ex-factory price of benzene has been increased by 300 Yuan/ton in East China region, where the price is now 9,500 Yuan/ton at Yangzi Petrochemical, Zhenhai Refining & Chemical, Jinling Petrochemical and Shanghai Petrochemical.
 
In East China market, benzene offers are currently prevailing at about 9,400 Yuan/ton. However, there is limited supply and downstream procurement is in consonance with demand.
 
In Shandong Province, benzene prices are in the range of 9,350-9,400 Yuan/ton. There is limited spot supply and manufacturers are more optimistic and firm on their offers.
