The BK Birla group of Century Textiles & Industries revealed that the Company net profit had declined by 7.86 percent to reach Rs30.33 crore in the third quarter till December 31, 2005 as compared to 2004.
However, total income went up from Rs667.36 crore in 2004 to Rs699.48 crore in 2005, a rise by 4.81 percent.
Century Textiles & Industries not only deals in Cotton Textiles but has also made a remarkable presence in Yarn, Denim, Viscose Filament Rayon Yarn, Tyrecords, Caustic Soda, Sulfuric Acid, Salt, Cement and Pulp & Paper.
